Inverter Technology - Non inverter supplies non-stop power from start to finish to acheive desired temperature. In other words its always running at full pelt to get the cooling done, using maximum power consumption. Invereter driven systems steadily build to maximum power to quickly acheive desired temperature and then only runs as required to maintain the temperature with minimal fluctuations. This greatly improves efficiency and reduces the running costs.

Filtration - Accessible filters housed within the indoor unit are designed to capture particles as they pass throughy The better the system, the better the filtration. Good systems can filter and effectively de-activate air borne bacteria, viruses and odours.

De-humidification - A pleasant comfortable environment is acheived by regulating the amount of moisture present in the air - the humidity. Budget systems constantly de-humidify ( extract moisture ) and this can be cause of sore throats, colds etc. and a feeling of being cold, or chilly, even in relatively high temperatures. Some medium rage and the Premium systems actually add moisture, as well as removing it, to maintain a constant level of comfortable humidity.

Noise levels - In short the better the system the quieter it runs.

COP - Coefficient Of Performance. A standard by which the efficiency of system can be measured and compared. The higher the number, the more efficient the system. For example a unit with a COP of 3.5 uses only 1 Kilowatt of electricty to provide an output of 3.5 Kilowatts of heating.

Automatic Mode - Quality heat pump systems can be set to run in fully automatic mode and will maintain a pre set temperature. By constantly analysing the room temperature the system will either heat or cool to avoid temperature fluctuations. The perfect solution for conservatories.

Ventilation - Ordinary air conditioners simpy heats or cools the air and filetsr the air within the room and does not draw in fresh air from outside. Fresh air intake is now available on premium systems.

Moisturizing Operation - A high relative humidity combined with comfortable airflow, the emission of vitamins and hyaluronic acid make a particularly skin friendly environment.

Sleep mode - Follows the natural pattern of the human body whilst asleep by gradually reducing the room temperature by a few degrees and then rainsg it again 1 hour before waking. A perfect night sleep.
