De-humidification - A pleasant comfortable environment is acheived by regulating the amount of moisture present in the air - the humidity. Budget systems constantly de-humidify ( extract moisture ) and this can be cause of sore throats, colds etc. and a feeling of being cold, or chilly, even in relatively high temperatures. COP - Coefficient Of Performance. A standard by which the efficiency of system can be measured and compared. The higher the number, the more efficient the system. For example a unit with a COP of 3.5 uses only 1 Kilowatt of electricty to provide an output of 3.5 Kilowatts of heating.
